What a Christian should say to the victims of Hurricanes?

This is an honest question that deserves more than a simple answer. In fact, perhaps the best response of Christians to those who are living and suffering in the hurricane-ravaged regions of our country . . . is tears. We are now witnessing the outpouring of compassion and love in action, as caravans of volunteers stream south to offer whatever help they have to give, and as other believers send their prayers and their contributions, all motivated by the love Christ has shown to each of us.

Where is God in an Earthquake?

In the Haiti earthquake on January 12th, over 220,000 people were killed and over 1 million people displaced.  It measured 7.0 on the Richter scale.  On February 27th an even more powerful earthquake devastated Chile – 8.8.  “Where is God in an earthquake?” is a common question.  A well-known TV evangelist announced that the Haiti people brought it on themselves because of a voodoo pact with the devil.  He is also quoted as saying, “God is even angrier at Chile.”
